When some says Canadian garlic, Music is the first thing that comes to mind.
This large clove, easy peeling variety was originally imported from Italy and made popular by Al Music.
It has slowly adapted despite our frigid winter and late spring. Music became standard because it performs consistently.
For the commercial grower this comes with a trade off.
The large clove size means 1/5 to 1/4 of the crop must be kept to maintain seed for the next season. (Even more if it was a poor year).
There are multiple Music types in existence, each one slightly different.
Our selected offering is called Blue Music. Named so because its young leaves have a unique bluish hue. It is the most productive Music type available.
